Training for Videoconferencing Rooms

There is a rolling programme of student and staff training for the videoconferencing rooms.

Students may find themselves at the remote end of a conference without a member of staff present and will need to know how to get into their local VC room and project the lecture onto the screens. Training sessions for students will be held just prior to, or occasionally just after, the first lecture in a course. Where it isn't possible to do the training before the first session, one of the SUPA Learning Technology team will be on hand to set up the first conference. Student, please log into My.SUPA and check the Calendar for dates of these training sessions.

Hands-on training for staff continues to be available on demand. Sessions take no longer than 15 minutes. Staff are invited to book a session with one of the SUPA Learning Technologists well before their first lecture. In addition to 'driving the desk,' there may well be issues about logins and network access for laptops.

Further Video South training sessions will be available as and when the VC rooms in Dundee, Paisley, St Andrews and Strathclyde come on line. These will be advertised here in My.SUPA and on the main website.
