SUPA has the pleasure to invite you to:

An introduction to Lattice QCD perturbation theory - a  lecture by Prof. Junko Shigemitsu of the Ohio State University

Lattice QCD is a numerical method for the nonperturbative solution of the theory of the strong force. However, since QCD is perturbative at short distances, perturbation theory is still an indispensable tool when connecting lattice calculations to final physical results.

This lecture will give a brief overview of the main applications of lattice perturbation theory and the challenges facing its practitioners.

Join us for Prof. Shigemitsu's lecture on Friday 1st June 2007 at 10.00 am in the SUPA VC rooms.
