Professional Development Training Area
All SUPA students are required to complete 20 hours (or four days) of Professional Development Training Area (also known as Transferable Skills) training during the first two years of their PhD studies. SUPA Professional Development Training Area courses are listed on the following pages. However, students may also participate in transferrable skills training run by their local departments and universities or run by Vitae (a UK-wide organisation sponsoring development of researchers) or their Research Councils.
Please note that enrolment for Transferable Skills training is often run separately from enrolment procedures for Technical Courses. Information about enrolment procedures for each course will be posted on My.SUPA course areas and announced to all students via email. If you have any questions about enrolment for SUPA Transferable Skills training courses, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
