As discussed in the last PER Theme meeting, find below a poll to record your availabilities for a PER-SMSN joint event.
SMSN is the Scottish Maths Support Network, and is in the process of becoming the Network for Learning & Teaching in Scottish HE Mathematical Sciences.
We are looking at organising a joint day event between our 2 communites (PER and SMSN). We are planning to host the event at the University of Glasgow, to minimize travel costs for a maximum of people, and the plan for the day would be:
- A keynote from the Mathematics Education field;
- A keynote from the Physics Education field;
- Breakout discussions on common themes/problematics (this is to be finalised, but could be: discussions on common research questions, common issues such as publication, fundings).
At this stage, we would like to finalise a date, so if you would be interested in taking part in such an event, please fill in the doodle poll, before Monday the 31st of March.
