The programme offered within the Photonics theme involves a selection of lecture courses which we hope will be of interest to you. Additionally there are opportunities to take part in some distance learning courses. It may also be useful for you to look at courses offered through the other themes especially Condensed Matter and Material Sciences, and the Core courses. Students are also encouraged to attend Photonics related seminars hosted across Scotland.

This is a metacourse - a parent course to which all the Theme's teaching course belong as 'child' courses. It provides an administrative area and mailing list for this Theme within the Graduate School. Anyone who is a participant of at least one of the child courses (in any role - lecturer, student or undergraduate student) will automatically be a participant in the metacourse. Extra members can be added by the courses office and by existing lecturers provided they have editing status.

Files can be uploaded to this area to be shared by Theme members. The maximum file size is 20MB.

Some Themes will find many uses for their metacourse area but others may rarely use it. Other metacourses can be created outside the Graduate School if required. Please contact SUPA Central to have new areas created.

Every participant in the metacourse is subscribed to the News Forum below making it the ideal place to post important messages that need to reach every member of the Theme in a Graduate School context. Editing lecturers can create as many other forums as they wish for other discussions.

If you would like more details about metacourse and how they might be used, please contact the SUPA Technology Team.
