This is the second course in Physics Education Research.  The format is the same as PERF, with weekly readings and assessment that consists of short written summaries.  This course is more focused than Foundations, however students in all themes are welcome and there are no prerequisites. Students will have the opportunity to choose papers that interest them and lead the discussion.

Hours Equivalent Credit: 10
Assessment:

A brief written summary of the reading each week will be assessed.  Students will have the opportunity to choose a paper that interests them and lead the discussion on that paper, however this is not a requirement to pass the course.

This course supports students in becoming familiar with a range of topics in Physics Education Research.  Students read and discuss a new paper each week.  The course will begin with papers selected by lecturers.  Students may be able to choose papers for the group and lead discussions towards the end of the term.  This course will be offered every year, but the reading list may change.
